By virtue of section 24 of Right to Information Act, 2005, the Act
shall not apply to
(i)
intelligence
and security organisation listed in second schedule, being organisation
established by the Central Government, or
(ii)
any
information furnished by such organisation to Central Government.
This Act shall also not apply to such intelligence and security
organisation being organisation established by the State Government, as
State Government may from time to time specify by way of notification.
However the information pertaining to the allegations of
corruption and human rights violations in respect of such organisation are not
be excluded.
In the case of information sought for is in respect of allegations
of violation of human rights, the information shall only be provided after the
approval of the Central Information Commission. Further such information shall
be provided within forty- five days from the date of the receipt of request,
notwithstanding any thing contained in section 7.

exempted from the application of RTI Act, 2005 as per section 24
