No school can be established, or recognised,
under section 18, unless it fulfils the norms and standards specified. Norms
and Standards are specified in the Schedule of RTE Act, 2009

two hundred working days for first class to fifth class;

class;

(iv)
one thousand instructional hours per academic year for sixth class to eighth
class.
